QuizPlanet Privacy Policy — we only record anonymous score statistics and never collect your name, email, or any personal data. Quizzes run on your own device; card numbers are handled exclusively by a PCI-DSS processor.

The one-sentence summary: we collect as little of your data as possible. Quizzes run on your own device, answers stay in your browser, and only one anonymous score statistic is uploaded when you finish a quiz.

1. Data Controller

The data controller of this Website (QuizPlanet) is Silaloe LLC (registered in the United States), responsible for operating the Website and making data-processing decisions.

The registered and contact addresses are as stated in the official registration documents and transaction documents; where required by law, inquiries may be made via the emails above. Because the Website does not process personal data at large scale or sensitive categories of data, no Data Protection Officer (DPO) has been designated.

2. Data We Collect

2.1 Anonymous quiz statistics (uploaded when you complete a quiz)

  • Scores per quiz dimension (e.g., 10 dimensions, 4–20 points each) and the derived result codes such as your top-talent code
  • Context labels (direct entry vs. entering via a friend's invite)

This data contains no name, email, phone number, IP address, advertising identifier, precise location, or any information that can identify you.

2.2 Data stored on your device (never uploaded)

  • Quiz answers and progress (browser localStorage, so you can resume)
  • Language preference and shared results (URL parameters)

2.3 Order data (only when paid features are offered)

Order number, product, amount, and payment status. That is the only payment-related data we process; credit card numbers and other payment information are handled exclusively by a PCI-DSS-certified processor, and our servers never store card numbers.

  • Anonymous statistics and product improvement — legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f); improving content quality without affecting your rights)
  • Saving quiz progress — legal basis: legitimate interest (so you can resume after leaving)
  • Language preference — legal basis: your consent (withdrawable anytime by clearing browser data or switching languages)
  • Order processing (paid features) — legal basis: contract performance (payment constitutes the contract to deliver the unlocked service)

We currently do not send marketing emails, so no marketing consent is collected.

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell your personal data, nor do we use anonymous statistics for advertising. Data is shared only with the following service providers, each with a distinct role:

  • Cloudflare, Inc. — website hosting, CDN, and edge computing (including language/region detection)
  • Waffo Pancake — the Website's payment processor. Credit card numbers and other payment information are handled exclusively by a PCI-DSS-compliant processor, never stored on our servers and never accessible to us.
  • Google Fonts — web font loading (your IP connects to Google servers when fonts load)

Except where required by law or a valid order of a judicial authority, we do not otherwise disclose your data.

5. Data Security

  • HTTPS/TLS encryption enforced site-wide
  • Databases protected with access controls, accessible only by the website application
  • Quiz answers are stored and computed locally on your device first

In the event of a data security incident, we will assess the impact and notify the relevant parties as required by law within 72 hours of becoming aware of it.

6. Data Retention

  • Anonymous quiz statistics: retained for up to 24 months from collection, then deleted or de-identified
  • Order records (paid features): retained for 5 years to fulfill tax and accounting obligations (per the law where Silaloe LLC is registered)
  • On-device data: retained until you clear your browser data or restart the quiz

7. Your Rights

Under the GDPR and related regulations, you have the following rights: to be informed, to access, to rectify, to erase (right to be forgotten), to restrict processing, to data portability, to object, and to withdraw consent. We will respond within 30 calendar days of receiving your request.

Because the data we collect is fully anonymous and never linked to you, most rights (such as rectifying or deleting a specific statistic) technically cannot be matched to an individual — that is exactly the purpose of our data-minimization design. If you still wish to make a request, or want to delete on-device data, please contact privacy@zhiwoxingqiu.com or simply clear your browser data.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

8. Minors

The Website is not designed for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect children's data. Paid features are restricted to users aged 18 and above (or the legal age of majority in your region); minors should use the free quizzes with parental consent and supervision.

9. Changes to This Policy

For material changes to this policy, we will announce them on this page at least 15 days in advance and update the "Last updated" date and version number.

11. Cookies and Local Storage

The Website uses no tracking cookies, analytics tools, or advertising pixels. Only the following strictly necessary technologies are used; they cannot be disabled and are not used for tracking:

  • Language preference cookie: remembers your chosen language version
  • localStorage: quiz answers, progress, and results
  • sessionStorage: quiz session state

12. Marketing and Unsubscribing

We currently do not send any marketing emails or SMS. If we launch a newsletter in the future, we will obtain your consent in advance (double opt-in) and provide one-click unsubscribe; essential service notifications about billing and security are not affected by marketing unsubscribe.

13. Cross-Border Data Transfers

The Website is delivered through a global CDN network; your connection and anonymous statistics may be processed at nodes in multiple countries. The relevant providers offer appropriate safeguards for such transfers (including standard contractual clauses). Payment-related data is processed by Waffo Pancake under its own privacy policy.

The Website links to external services such as the Zhiwo Planet main site, LINE, and Instagram. These third parties have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their data processing practices; please review their policies separately.
